Review: Misfits Protein Bars

For the girl who’s just tryna get a lil protein in her diet.

Let me tell you something about Misfits - it tastes like a straight up candy bar and we’re ADDICTED. If you’re vegan/ veg you already know how hard it is to get protein without meat and fish so what do ya do? Enter: protein bar.

We’ve been looking for a decent protein bar for years! One without that nasty, chalky taste that protein bars often have. We’ve tried so many and were left with a literal and figurative bad taste in our mouths. But Misfits?! Changed the game ! Chalky/ stevia aftertaste? Don’t know her. We tried out the variety pack which we highly recommend because that little box sparks joy. Aside from the adorable branding, every flavor was fuckin fuego (our fave is the white choc) and it’s the perfect protein packed pick me up.

From a flavor standpoint, Misfits is a 10/10. But you know Planet Pink, we always have to kill the vibe and talk about health. So are they actually healthy? Honestly we’re not so sure. Misfits you were so damn close but why’d ya have to add the soy isolates! We’ve talked about those damn things before so read up on a bitch if you haven’t already. In addition to the isolates, the bars are mostly comprised of soy which is not necessarily “bad” if it’s in its natural form but not suitable for people with soy allergies and sensitivities. Other than that, their low in sugar and sketchy additives which is also hard to come by in the protein bar game.

If you’re on the fence about processed soy products like we are, Misfits sadly might not be the answer. But we might still contradict ourselves and scarf down a Misfits bar every now and then because everything in moderation, right? If you’ve tried ‘em, let us know what you think in the comments!
